Week 1

We meet only once this week, on Wednesday (Sept. 7). In class we will introduce ourselves, go over the syllabus together, and get started on Section 1 of the notes.

A few scheduling items for the upcoming weeks:

• Class will meet virtually (on Zoom) on Monday, Sept. 12. Zoom details can be found on Canvas.
• No class on Wednesday, Sept. 14. We will try to make this up later in the term.
• There will be a guest lecturer on Wednesday, Sept. 21.

After Sept. 21, there are no more planned cancellations, virtual class meetings, or guest lecturers.
